The below outlines the terms and conditions for repairing leather goods through Santana Leather Care. At Santana Leather Care, we offer decades of experience in the craft of leather repair and restoration to ensure you achieve the results you desire. Nevertheless, because leather derives from nature, it is a beautifully imperfect product that does not always react as a man-made synthetic leather would react.
CLEANING
- May cause all material types to become tender, stiff, brittle and may cause some buckling and peeling.
- Shrinkage of all material types is unpredictable and may occur.
- Slight changes in shades or top finish may occur on all material types.
- Scars on leather skins which were covered over by the manufacturer could show afterward.
- Breaks and skin lines may show to be more apparent.
- Unevenly matched skins are common and may show more uneven.
- May cause bleeding on all material types, which in turn causes change of color.
We cannot guarantee that all cleaning request will meet the original condition of the product but we will do our best.
DYEING
- We cannot guarantee that the color will match the given swatch 100%.
- Certain imperfections in the construction of the item may become visible after the item is dyed.
- The dyed color may look different when viewed in different types of lighting.
- If shoes are worn in the rain or come in contact with water the color may come off and/or bleed onto a material.
- The color may fade or peel as a result of regular use.
SHOE REPAIR/HANDBAG REPAIR AND ALTERATIONS
- We cannot guarantee that all shoe repair/ handbag repair/ alterations request will meet original condition of the product but we will do our best.
- We are not responsible for measurements taken for someone else but our own personnel in our facilities, if you took your own measurements and mailed your items to be altered it’s under your sole responsibility.
SHOE STRETCHING
- May cause some wrinkling, buckling and peeling.
- Slight changes in shades or top finish may occur on all material types.
- Stretching the width may or may not give you more room in the length.
- Stretching may cause some finished imperfections on the innersole and/or lining.
STORAGE AND ABANDONED ITEMS
- After one month from the date received, items are sent to storage and a fee of $5 per month will be applied.
- After six months from the date received, items will be disposed at our own discretion.

TURN-AROUND TIME
At Santana Leather Care, we believe that being punctual is a way to show respect and consideration for our customers. We make it our goal to turn around our work within 2 weeks or less, although special or original materials could take longer due to circumstances beyond our control. There is an option to rush services as well as an option to expedite the repair back to you once it is finished. If you choose rush services and we feel we cannot rush the item once we receive it, we will contact you and let you know and refund the $30 rush service fee.
UPDATES AND MODIFICATIONS
It may be necessary for Santana Leather Care to periodically update the Policies and Terms of Use. Santana Leather Care reserves the right to update or amend these Policies and Terms of Use at any time. Any such change, update or modification will be effective immediately upon posting the modified version of the Terms of Use on the Site. It is your responsibility to review the Site from time to time to ensure that you continue to agree with all of the Policies and Terms of Use.
